I want to do my ethnography paper on females with tattoos. I am interested in this because I have a tattoo and it seems like more and more people are getting tattoos. They are not as frowned upon as they once were.

There are so many people I can interview. I can go to a tattoo shop and observe and interview the females who come in to get a tattoo. I can interview my aunt, a couple of my friends, and a few of my cousins.

Paper

I began my research paper and I have 4 pages so far. I have used my web site sources and my one of my book sources, I need to use some journal articles as sources now. After class, I plan to go to my room and search the journals and periodicals to find good sources and then continue on with my paper!! :)

Annotated Bib

I did my Annotated Bibliography Thursday night. I did not find it all that hard. It was just like a regular bib except the 2 sentence annotation at the end. I used a couple HTML sources, a website source, a PDF source, and 3 books that I own about Crohn's disease.

Research Topics

3 Topics I Would Like to use for my Research Paper:

My first choice is Crohn's disease. I would really like to do this because I have the disease and I would like to learn more about it to better educate me, for the rest of my life. There are 3 people in my immediate family who have this and I could help them to learn, too. I have a lot of questions I would like answered about the disease and by being able to do a research paper on it, I could find this information out.
My second choice would have to be adoption. Adoption interests me because my dad was adopted as a new born and we actaully found his birth parents. It is one of the most memorable events in my life.
My third choice would be hospice terminal care. All of my grandparents/great grandparents who have passed away were a part of hospice. My Nana who lives in Arizona is now on Hospice care and I think it is very interesting.
All in all, I would really like to do my research on Crohn's disease. I could benefit from doing that topic for the rest of my life!! :)

Guiding Research Questions

There are many things I question about Crohn's disease...Here are a few..
-What causes Crohn's disease?
-What are the treatment plans?
-Is it genetic?
-What is the best diet plan?
-Does stress bring on a flare up?
-How will the diease affect a pregnancy?
-Is this a common disease?
-What are all the symptoms?

Proposal

I began my Research Proposal, even though it was not assigned yet. I try to be organized, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I figure that when we go over how to do it I can make some minor changes. I feel like I did it right! :)

Brainstorming!

I think I want to do my reasearch paper on Crohn's Disease because I was diagnosed with it when I was younger. I would like to learn a little more about it.
I have only written one research paper before. I wrote it my senior year of high school for the graduation project. I did my paper on adoption. We went to the library for 2 weeks of classes to complete our research. My teacher gave us almost 3 weeks to complete the paper in class.
I am worried about writing a research paper because I am not very familiar with them because I have only written one...
